| Job Description: | The Director of Rehab is responsible for assuring that services are provided in a safe, efficient, caring, and cost effective manner. The director will work with budgets, develop and implement operating systems, hire, train, and evaluate staff, as well as manage quality improvement processes. In addition, the director will be responsible for enhancing practice and services to ensure that the department meets all regulatory body requirements and assist with developing policies for management functions for Rehabilitation Services.
Education/Experience Requirement: Licensed Physical, Occupational, or Speech Therapist in the State of Iowa with strong general knowledge of rehabilitation services, Master's degree or equivalent preferred; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
The desirable candidate will have the ability to practice and support the mission and values of Spencer Hospital and the Rehab Department. The candidate also must be able to demonstrate respect, concern, and empathy for the spiritual, cultural, emotional and informational needs of patients, customers, and staff. |
