Survivors Day Celebration Monday, 19 April 2010 Annual Survivors Day Celebration
Sponsored by Abben Cancer Center of Spencer Hospital Monday, April 19 - 7 p.m. - First Congregational Church Public Invited; Survivors Urged to Attend
The evening will feature a short presentation entitled "Finding a State of Grace in a Challenging World" by Robert & Rebecca Bluestone. Robert Bluestone is a classical guitarist and Rebecca is known for her tapesty creations. Rebecca is also a cancer survivor. Together, they will explore the role creativity plays in healing.
The Bluestones will be in Spencer April 19 through 21, courtesy of the University of Iowa (Hancher Auditorium, Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center, and College of Public Health) and local support from the Spencer Regional Healthcare Foundation.
