Visits from family members and friends can provide a tremendous benefit to hospital patients. Please respect the wishes of the patient regarding how much or how little visitation he or she would like. Please do not visit any patient if you have an infectious illness such as a cold or the flu, and do not bring children to visit who may be ill.

Obstetrical Unit: Open visitation except from 2-4 p.m. each day for "mom & baby" nap time.

Medical/Surgical Unit: 8 a.m.-8:30 p.m.; Family can visit anytime; however, we request you limited the number of visitors and length of visits out of respect for patients who tire easily and to help provide a restful atmosphere for all patients.

Intensive Care Unit: Visitors are limited to family and clergy. Please, no visitors after 9 p.m.

Mental Health Unit: Monday through Friday: 3:30-8 p.m.; Saturday, Sunday and holidays: 1-8 p.m. Physician orders or patient preference may dictate times and individuals visiting.

When visiting, please keep the following in mind:
• Spencer Hospital is a smoke-free campus. Please do not smoke or use tobacco in our facility or on hospital grounds.
• We recommend limiting the number of visitors at one time. Please be especially considerate if the patient you are visiting has a roommate.
• Please help us maintain a quiet environment as we have patients resting.
