Ideal candidate would be in the surrounding area of Spencer and Spirit Lake with a 30 minutue on-call response time for both Spencer Hospital and Lakes Regional Hospital. This position is staff by Spencer Hospital and will share call duties with Lakes Regional. 

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the operation of diagnostic ultrasound equipment to perform diagnostic procedures at a technical level not requiring direct supervision, according to the medical direction of the radiologist.
• Must provide general assistance to the radiologist in interpreting films.
• The sonographer will adopt the missions of the Hospital and Radiology Department.
• Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics.
• Provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure. 

Requirements:

• Graduate from an approved school of Medical Sonography
• American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography or registry eligible
• Registered sonographer with ARDMS

Schedule: 

• PRN availability for 9 hour variable day shifts - must be flexible
• Scheduled on-call rotation for weekend nights and weekends
• Rotating on-call holidays
• The schedule may fluctuate based upon needs of the department
