The ability to remain in the familiar and comfortable surroundings of your own home while receiving nursing care and assistance is provided through Spencer Hospital’s Home Care services. All services are provided under the direction of your physician’s plan of care.

Avera@Home - Home Health Services

Home health nurses provide direct care - such as changing dressing on wounds, drawing blood, giving injections, etc. – as well as educate their patients about their illness and treatment, and provide nursing assessments. Skilled therapy services are provided for rehabilitation after surgery or an illness. Typically Home Health Services are coverage through Medicare, Medicaid, VA benefits or private insurance.

Homemaker/Home Health Aides

Certified Homemaker-Home Health Aides provide a variety of services for patients in their homes such as personal care and hygiene, light housekeeping and laundry, assisting with exercises, and meal planning and preparation.
