The Diagnostic Imaging department at Spencer Hospital utilizes advanced imaging technology to provide access to comprehensive imaging services for patients from our region. A commitment to excellence in patient care, quality exams, and patient safety is the top priority.    

Our commitment to staying abreast with quality is demonstrated through maintaining accreditation for the following modalities by the American College of Radiology, which establishes and ensures the standards of image quality in healthcare:

  • Mammography / 3D Mammography
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
  • Nuclear Medicine

In addition, Spencer Hospital has been recognized as a Designated Comprehensive Breast Imaging Center by the American College of Radiology (ACR), the only hospital in a 90-mile radius to have earned this distinction. By awarding facilities the status of a Designated Comprehensive Breast Imaging Center, the ACR recognizes breast imaging centers that have earned accreditation in mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, and breast ultrasound, including ultrasound-guided breast biopsy.
