An evidence-informed approach to help everyone, including first responders, public and behavioral health professionals, community members and families, in the immediate aftermath of disaster, terrorism, and personal crisis.  It is designed to reduce the initial distress caused by traumatic events and to foster adaptive functioning and coping. During the training, you will learn to identify emotional, behavioral, physical, and cognitive responses to a traumatic event. Recognize the "red flags" that indicate a need for referral. Understand how to enhance the emotional wellbeing of helpers and survivors. (Two 2-hour trainings) 

This training will be presented both June 18 and June 19. You must attend both sessions to receive CEUs. 

Intended Audience: Healthcare Providers, Faith Community, Social Services Providers & Supports, Schools, Law Enforcement, Disaster Response Personnel, Behavioral Health & Addiction Recovery Professionals, Community Members 

4 hours/4.0 CEUs
