INTENDED AUDIENCE:
Registered Nurses who care for trauma patients (at least 6 months of emergency care experience is recommended). Other interested individuals are eligible to attend the course except for the written and psychomotor evaluations. For this reason, they do not receive verification but are awarded contact hours.
FEES:
Spencer Hospital Employees: No registration fee for employees of Spencer Hospital who have director approval to attend. Those taking it as an elective with director approval will be responsible for the text fee ($80) and the ENA fee ($85).
Non-employees: $300 for non-employees & Spencer Hospital employees without Director approval to attend. The registration fee includes the TNCC 8th edition provider manual and all course materials. $220 for students who have access to the required text.
REGISTRATION:
The skills evaluation is available by appointment only.
Spencer Hospital employees: Register via Healthstream.
Non-employees: Register by sending registration form (with email address included) with payment to Spencer Hospital Human Resource Development Department. Registration & course fee must be received three weeks prior to the course.
Pre-course reading/preparation is mandatory for this course, no drop-in registration is permitted. Course materials will be mailed once the registration form & payment have been received.
CONTINUING EDUCATION:
A participant must complete the entire program to receive continuing education credit. Participants will have access to an electronic CE certificate and Provider Card, issued by the ENA.
TNCC is administered through the National Emergency Nurses Association (ENA). The ENA is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. The Emergency Nurses Association is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider #2322. This 8th edition TNCC provider course has been approved for 17.65 contact hours for RN’s.
