This hour long class is offered the following times:
- 7:30 - 8:30AM
- 8:30 - 9:30AM
- 9:30 - 10:30AM
- 10:30 - 11:30AM
Intended Audience
RN’s, LPN’s, EMT’s, RT’s & other Licensed & Certified Healthcare professionals requiring BLS certification for their work
Fees
No registration fee for employees of Spencer Hospital;
Non-employees:
- Part I – Online Course: Log onto the American Heart Association website at www.onlineaha.org in the Find a Course box, select the drop down option: BLS – Basic Life Support / Heartcode BLS and purchase the code via credit card online payment. Cost is $28.50
- Part II - Skills Evaluation: Register for a skills evaluation. Cost is $35 (make checks payable to Spencer Hospital. This includes the AHA certification card.) AHA Textbooks can be purchased for an additional fee of $20 if participant does not have access to this. Fee must be paid at least 24 hours in advance of class or appointment time will be reassigned.
Registration
The skills evaluation is available by appointment only. Spencer Hospital employees register via Healthstream. Non employees register by calling 264-6142. Registration is on a first come, first served basis. Deadline to register is at least one week prior to class. Late registration is accepted according to room availability. No drop-in attendance is permitted.
Cancellation
Notice of the need to cancel must be received 24 hours in advance of appointment time; exceptions are made for emergencies. No refund if less than 24 hours notice is given.
Spencer Hospital reserves the right to cancel this program if there is insufficient enrollment. In this event, every attempt will be made to notify enrollees prior to the event.

Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the American Heart Association. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course material, do not represent income to the Association.
