Clinical Preceptorship Program

The Spencer Hospital Nursing Preceptorship Program is designed for student nurses to enhance their education and clinical skills as they work side-by-side with a nurse preceptor.  

Opportunities exist in the following areas: 

•  Medical Surgical Unit 
•  Intensive Care Unit 
•  Emergency Department
•  Obstetrics Unit 
•  Same Day Surgery/Post Anesthesia Recovery Unit 
•  Operating Room 
•  Behavioral Health Unit 

Eligibility

Nursing students must meet the following qualifications: 

• Must be between junior and senior year in an accredited nursing program 
• Completed an acute care clinical rotation 
• Be in good standing with their University or College, and Spencer Hospital 
• Be willing to represent and follow the Mission, Values, and Principles that Spencer Hospital adheres to on a daily basis 

Applicant Information

Preceptor Applications shall be submitted at least 60 days prior to the planned clinical start date.
