Visitor Restrictions at Spencer Hospital (Masks Required) - Updated August 25, 2021

To protect our patients, families, healthcare workers and community during the pandemic outbreak of COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus-19) and to prevent further spread of the disease, visitor restrictions are listed below. All patients and permitted visitors who enter the hospital or any of the clinics MUST bring and wear a mask, covering nose and mouth. Visitors must be 12 years of age or older. 

Inpatient Visitation: 

  • One visitor per patient, cannot rotate visitors throughout the day; however, a different visitor may come the next day.
  • Behavioral Health patients may have one visitor daily by appointment.
  • Exceptions permitted for end-of-life circumstances as determined by physician.
  • Vaccinated clergy member can visit once daily.

Outpatient Visitation: 

  • Outpatients will attend his/her appointment alone, unless requiring assistance.
  • Outpatients may be accompanied by one visitor in the following situations: OB patients; emergency department and same-day surgical patients who need to be accompanied by a support person to receive instructions; and pediatric patients (age 17 years and under)
