Laura Johnson

Laura Johnson is a Speech and Language Pathologist at the Spencer Hospital. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders and Sciences and a Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from the University of Northern Iowa. Laura works with adults and children with speech, language, voice and swallowing disorders. With her most recent certification and focus in the Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT) LOUD program, Laura works hand and hand with the providers and the patients to reach their maximum potential. She is passionate about educating and empowering patients with their communication abilities.

    As a speech and language pathologist at Spencer Hospital, I am fortunate to work with people of all ages from infant to great-great grandparents, and with patients with all types of diagnosis. Typically our pediatric patients don't have difficulty being proudly loud. However, volume can be challenging for patients with neurological disorders such as Parkinson's disease, to find their voices. I can help.
