Helping Our Community Breathe Easier

At Spencer Hospital, our respiratory therapy team provides essential care for patients with breathing and sleep-related concerns. From emergency support to advanced testing, we offer a full range of services close to home.
Respiratory Care Services
Our therapists care for patients of all ages experiencing asthma, COPD, pneumonia, and other breathing challenges. In the ER and ICU, we manage ventilators, assist with oxygen therapy, and respond to urgent respiratory needs. We also help patients throughout their stay by monitoring breathing, adjusting treatments, and offering education to support long-term health.
Sleep Studies for Adults
Our Sleep Lab, accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Health Care, offers both in-hospital sleep studies and home sleep tests. These evaluations help diagnose issues such as obstructive sleep apnea, central sleep apnea, and other nighttime breathing disorders. If you experience loud snoring, breathing pauses, or persistent daytime fatigue, your provider may recommend a sleep study – and our team will take it from there.
Now Available: Pediatric Sleep Studies
We’re excited to share that beginning in November, Spencer Hospital is expanding sleep services to include pediatric sleep studies for children ages 6 months to 15 years.
This new offering allows us to diagnose conditions such as:
- Obstructive sleep apnea
- Central apnea
- Hypoventilation disorders
- Nighttime seizures
- Narcolepsy
Families previously had to travel out of town for this type of testing, often facing long wait times. By providing pediatric sleep studies locally, we’re making specialized, timely care easier for families to access right here at home!
Local Care You Can Count On
Whether you need breathing support, ongoing respiratory care, or a comprehensive sleep evaluation, Spencer Hospital offers high-quality services right here in our community. Talk with your healthcare provider about a referral if you or a loved one may benefit from respiratory or sleep-related care.
