General Surgery
General surgeons perform a variety of surgical and endoscopic procedure at Spencer Hospital’s Surgery Center. Many of the surgical procedures are performed minimally invasive using advanced laparoscopic surgical techniques, or they are performed using the daVinci Xi surgical robot.
The most common procedures performed are as follows:
- Cholecystectomy (removal of the gallbladder)
- Hernia repairs
- Appendectomy
- Colon resections
- Breast surgery
Diagnostic Procedures
In addition to their surgical offering, our general surgeons are also highly trained in endoscopic medicine and perform the majority of the colonoscopy and gastroscopy (EGD) procedures at our hospital, including pH system testing to confirm diagnosis of GERD.
