Supporting Mental Health in Our Community

We are committed to supporting mental health and overall well-being in our community. Caring for your mental health is just as important as your physical health.

At Spencer Hospital, we are grateful for our Behavioral Health Services team, who help individuals navigate life challenges with compassion and support.

Why Counseling Matters

Counseling provides a safe, supportive space to work through stress, anxiety, depression, grief, and life changes. It also helps people build practical skills like emotional regulation, communication, and stress management.

It can support both healing and personal growth, helping individuals feel more balanced and equipped to handle daily life.

When to Consider Counseling

Counseling may be helpful when someone is experiencing ongoing sadness, anxiety, stress, grief, or feeling stuck in difficult patterns. It can also be a proactive step to strengthen resilience and support overall mental wellness.

Counseling Services at Spencer Hospital

We offer individualized outpatient mental health counseling for a variety of needs, including anxiety, depression, grief, and emotional stress. Our focus is on meeting each person where they are and moving forward at a pace that feels right for them.

Getting started begins with a conversation about what is going on and what goals someone hopes to achieve.

How to Get Started

Outpatient mental health counseling is available Monday-Thursday from 9 AM - 4 PM. To schedule an appointment, please call Spencer Hospital’s Mental Health Counseling Services at (712) 264-8303.
