Spencer Hospital provides a wide variety of surgical options for patients who are having cataract surgery.
Spencer is the only hospital in northwest Iowa that offers Optiwave Refractive Analysis (ORA) technology to patients undergoing cataract surgery. ORA technology allows our ophthalmologist (eye surgeon) to take measurements during surgery that will determine the optimal lens implant for our patients to provide them with the best vision.
In addition to ORA, Spencer Hospital offers advanced treatment for patients who suffer from glaucoma and are having their cataract surgery. Our surgeon is capable of placing a stent that is the world’s smallest medical implant into the patient’s eye during surgery to reduce eye pressure.
